History

It all started for Jack and I on Ultima Online in 1997 with our dail-up connections, we played the Alpha & Beta until the retail was released. We formed a guild called ANIHALUS FuQ on Lake Superior Shard that has some of the nastiest pvper/murders know to exist in the game. In it's hay day we had almost 75 players in the guild and most where on at one time. ICQ was the main stream back then. We played this until 2001.

Jack and I started playing FPSers Delta Force 1 & 2 on a our dial ups in 1997-1998 and we where playing under the guise of ***USK***, Uniform Serial Killers with one of his friends who coincidentally was part of Mudvayne the rock group out of Peoria, IL.

During this time I finally got a 1MG RSDSL line and I started to run Rouge Spear: Urban Operation games from MSN ZONE out of my house and we had quite the following with that. We where like wow, the same people kept coming back to play with us. Maybe we where onto something. We where regular players in the MSN Zone, in fact we started to play professionally in the Zone ladder tourneys. I wasn't so good but Jack was so good he was rated as high as 25th in the world out of 200,000 players in Zone tourney circle. After all that excitement we decided to do our own thing, since I was a combat veteran and we where both WWII buff's we both decided on -V- for Victory- with a tag of -=|v4v|=- and that was in December of 1997. Ever since then things got easier...we where a very tight knit group of close personal friends that liked to get on together and shoot people, Superfly, Jack the Raper, Anteaus, Capt Jack Sparrow, Stu Pidasso, Cobra Tomato, MongooseREMC, RestInPeace23 and zuni gypsy.

After Rogue Spear, we went to Ghost Recon and all the expansions. In 1999 we played a game called Unreal Tourney as most of you have probably heard of that one. In early 2000 we played this game called Counter Strike with 80,000 other people. In 2001 Return to Castle Wolfenstien was released and we ran our first dedicated game server with ILAN hosting called -V- for Victory-. This was a huge success for us, although we still did not recruit anyone to the -V- for Victory- team as we decided to keep things real and just to our close friends.

In January of 2002 the world changed as we knew it, a game called Medal of Honor: Allied Assault was released by 2015. We had our very own dedicated game server (Trinity Gaming with Scotty) running the second day of release called -V- for Victory- it played the stock maps 24/7 and was the 34th Mohaa server up and running. We are very proud of that fact. Once the Radiant Editor came out we had such a following on our game server we had several popular map makers that frequented our game server. They asked if I could host some of their maps. Of course I couldn't turn them down, we set up a 3rd Mohaa server and this unprecedented event started a craze, we set up the first ever Custom Map server on Mohaa. Again we are very proud of that fact as well. Although no redirect existed we had a generic web site up for downloads and instructions on where to put the maps. I coded the whole web site by hand line by line with HTML.

This was insanely popular, the server was such a hit other Custom Map servers started to pop up about a month after ours. I decided that since this was so popular I needed some help policing the game server. I had the perfect chap in mind and I waited for him to get on and one day a fello named 351 COBRA II, connected, to the map called Arnhem and I dropped the bomb on him, I said COBRA you want to police this server with me. He said yes and was officially part of the team!

Several months after COBRA became the official POLICE of -V- for Victory- and he brought in a gal named Joan_Crawford to help do some policing. After all this a chap named Outlaw from the server approached me and asked why we didn't have a larger clan and why didn't we compete we had all the best players here. That was a fact we had great players that played at the -V-. After Jack and I and Outlaw talked we decided to start a public team, not a clan but a team of dedicated members who had 3 values in place, no cheating ever, respect for all players and play with honor. We had a great list to choose from, this was a huge list of dedicated regulars who where eager to come aboard. We put our stamp of approval on our one of a kind recruiting method to make sure we only got the best dedicated people on board, not the typical fly by night player who get's on the server once a month but the real dedicated ones who are have been on the team for years now. We needed to talk online though so we started our very own Roger Wilco voice server out of GoD of Thunders house in NYC!

After we brought the most dedicated aboard we decided to Ladder with TWL and OGL which we where extremely successful. We held the #4 TDM Mohaa spot in TWL for almost a year and we finally got a chance to play for the #1 spot, a team called =KaoS=. We got our butt's stomped but that made us better. We became great friends with Hammy, Wintersforge, a10, Foof, Analog Kid, Nomad, Bones, Sullivans Five aka our own Lilya. I became pretty close to Analog Kid who at the time was dating Lilya... Smiling =KaoS= taught us tactics and how to win in ladder matches. as it was they where the best at it. We eventually took the #1 spot after =KaoS= got beat by another team that was as good as they were. They eventually took it right back from us. We compiled a official ladder record of 289-79 through all our games. Not too shabby.

Mohaa was starting to get stale for us so I decided to ply my C+ coding skills on Mohaa and I started to mod, I made a promise to the guys that our game servers will set us up apart from any other servers. I started to spawn real game entities into the stock maps all server side to make our stock maps something very special. Along with this we had 1000+ skins on our game server so players could choose their own skins to play with. This was a huge hit, our servers where rocking once again!

After this, cheating was so rampant in Mohaa I got together with several other well known modders and we created our very first in house Anti-Cheat. I was at one time very well known and very into the community as far as modding goes, but when people steal your work it looses it's luster and you move in other directions. A new web site popped up called the Cheat Police for Mohaa and we where asked to be on the founding council, our very own 351 COBRA II was appointed to represent team =v4v=™ on the Cheat Police Council.

We made many friends with many good clans during our run in Mohaa, we watched many clans fold and many new clans start up. Once thing is for certain we are a rock, we don't plan to go anywhere ever! They say the average clan on the internet lasts 3-6 months, maybe. Where going on 11 years as -=|v4v|=-™, =v4v=™, =V=™ -V- for Victory-™

Finally we went to all the Expansions and had huge success with those games as well, Mohaa: Spearhead & Breakthrough.

As the end for Mohaa was near we where playing a Beta v1.0 game called Day of Defeat, back in 2001 off and on. When the official v1.0 was finally released in 2003 we ran a insanely popular Day of Defeat server that was ranked in the top 10 in all categories. I know it's hard to compare our huge success with Mohaa to Day of Defeat but it's true our -V- for Victory- Day of Defeat server was more popular if that can be found to be true! I found two bloody wankers by the name of Blue Max & L/CplBubbaUSMC who where on the server 24/7, I know it's hard to imagine Bubba being on that much but it's true he was on 24/7. I asked Blue Max & Bubba the same way I asked COBRA to administer the game server with me and instantly they became friends and long time members to the =v4v=™ team.

After the Mohaa & Day of Defeat days a game called Call of Duty came out, as you all know this game was a huge success. I made my first ever official download Mod for Call of Duty which changed the whole prospective of the game. It was such a huge success that people never realized such work could be made in a game. Then people started to steal my work. Ever since that day we decided to keep all Mods in house and not release anything to the public, this was a decision we made as a team to set us apart from the 100's of vanilla game servers out there. However I did make a few exceptions and customized our mod to a few fellow clans.

Good things must come to an end right? Well it did and in the dwindling hours of Mohaa we as a team decided on a tag change, after many creative images we decided on =v4v=™ which has been our official trademarked tag since 2004.

Right along the same time line a game called Battlefield 1942/Secret Weapons came out and we of course started a 1942 game server called -V- for Victory- this game was a huge blast and a success as well. We played this game for at least 2 years along with Call of Duty.

As the time line goes on an expansion pack called United Offensive came out and it blew anything we have played to date out of the water! CoD:UO, looking back on how successful this game was and how we grew as a team was an incredible experience. Again we did the same thing as in previous games to make our server 100% unique with custom weapons, custom mods and custom fast tanks. Another great thing we did was build a great friendship with the MTL clan in UO that has lasted to this day!

After this -V- for Victory- went on to play Call of Duty 2 which again we applied the same model to and had another hugely successful gaming campaign for several years with another 100% custom and unique set of game servers that no one could lay claim to.

After this we went on to play Day of Defeat:Source, Counter Strike:Source, Far Cry, Veitcong, Battlefield Vietnam, Battlefield 2/Special Forces, Battlefield 2142 and CoD 4 and now our most present game CoD 5. At present the CoD 5 redirect is broke and that is keeping us from installing our new set of custom mods & home made skins & sound mods. Currently we under went yet another tag change to supplement the clan tag format or lack there of in CoD 5. This change is for this game only, which is now =V=.

You will find that our goals here at the -V- are very simple, everything we do is completely 100% in house & every of our members have a direct say in anything we do, there is no real hierarchy within the team. We recruit together, we run the servers as equals and everyone is an Admin. Again everyone has an equal say in whatever we do and whatever direction we decide to take. This has made us hugely successful as we watched clan after clan fold over the many years. To wear the tags of team =v4v=™ is indeed something well earned and special that isn't passed out very easily.

We have spent many many years building a rock solid reputation as a fun place to play, that is fair, well administrated and a great place for custom mods along with putting up the best custom maps the second they are released! We owe all that to the regulars and members who make this place great!
